These Cocktails Are the Bom

Hello, it’s been awhile! I’ve been taking a break from regular blogging, but you can always follow me on Instagram where I’ve been actively posting about everything new and noteworthy in Fairfield County. But I came across a great find this weekend at the Greenwich Wine & Food Festival (which was incredible and if you haven’t been, definately get it on your radar for next year) that I wanted to tell you about it before anyone else. Bon Bom is a premium liquor brand founded by a Greenwich couple who share a taste for the tropics and a love of delicious cocktails (don’t we all?). Currently, there are two flavor profiles: Coco Mochanut, a blend of premium Caribbean rum with cream, coconut, coffee, and chocolate flavors that tastes just like a melted Almond Joy candy bar. The second flavor, Nilli Vanilli, blends premium Caribbean rum with almond milk and natural vanilla cookie flavor – think of it as an adult version of the milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl (and it’s vegan and gluten free)…so darn good. Step One: Shake Your BomBom BomBom is basically a cocktail in a bottle, there’s not much you need to do with it. Pour it over ice and serve. But if you want to get creative there are a myriad of ways to do so. In honor of fall, I created two easy-peasy cocktails using BomBom. The first, the Pumpkin Bom, a blend of Nilli Vanilli, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon, and the second, Caribbean Coffee, using the original Coco Mochanut which can be enjoyed hot or iced. Pumpkin Bom 2 parts BomBom Nilli Vanilli 1 part ice 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice seasoning Place all ingredients in blender until frothy, pour into serving glass and sprinke with cinnamon. Caribbean Coffee 2 parts strong coffee or espresso 2 parts BomBom Coco Mochanut Pour into glass and top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or toasted coconut Enjoy!
